I work for a data analytics startup in Montreal called sweetiQ. We work with all sorts of fancy technologies: Node.js, Go, RabbitMQ, and MongoDB to name a few. We've played with different styles of programming that we're calling "queue-driven development" or "state-machine-based programming" as ways to attack building complex distributed systems.
Interests: my primary interest is how to build AI/automation processes to the non-technical things that I enjoy: beer/wine-making, my cat, gardening, finance/economics, and probably quite a bit more. I'm of a belief that as a human I will soon be obsolete, and thus shouldn't have to manually do any of these things - so building machines to do them for me makes me enjoy them that much more.
