Can a programmer be a quant trader without knowing all that math and models? Feel free to delete my account from this site, chrisaycocky. With moderators with this kind of attitude I would rather go someplace else. Thanks! |

Can a programmer be a quant trader without knowing all that math and models? I am great with math but you prob do not understand much about programming. You certainly do not need to know calculus to be a good programmer, not sure if you know that. You need to know LOGIC and discrete math which has not much to do with the Black-Scholes for example. |

Profit estimation with a dice: 10 dollars for 6, -1 dollar for anything else Oh. So my answer is right. Every 6 rows I get 5. So every row I get 5/6 dollars. :) |

Is it already possible to do automated trading from your room? I did NOT say to do automated trading successful. :) I want to trade using software. If I will make money or not is another story. :) I do have the technical expertise from a technical (software) point-of-view. I know basic strategies and that's it. I want to play and learn. That will at least let me fine-tune my own trading platform and framework. |
