Is there a piratebay for data(bases)? (here, talking about historical financial data) I apologize if I'm wrong, my worst-case scenario hypothecations turn out to be true so often that I just assume hunches when it comes to stuff like this. But this question went from +2 to -4 (almost like a stock price reacting to a Fed announcement) in a matter of hours after I posted my first comment, up there. Conspiracies were the first thing that came to my mind, I apologize. |

Is there a piratebay for data(bases)? (here, talking about historical financial data) This question was being considered until I made the above comment. After that point the question got 6 downvotes in a matter of hours. (Studying the habits of SA regulars is a continuous learning exercise) |

Is there a piratebay for data(bases)? (here, talking about historical financial data) It is entirely conceivable that any day now, somebody could get a fix on edgar and start dumping free datasets online |

Is it possible to “steal” financial data on publicly traded companies off the internet? Legally, I mean, what is the truth about “data” as a property Vox populi..... |
