In mathematics, the epigraph of a function is the set of points lying on or above its graph, in this case a convex function:

The efficient frontier from mean-variance portfolio analysis encloses an area consisting of a set of points, but to the right of the curve, called the feasible set. Is the feasible set an epigraph?
